VISIBO CAPEX, CREDIT & MOBILITY BASKET
by Visibo Capital
A three-sector model portfolio of Indian Capital Goods, NBFCs and Automobile companies, built to benefit from India's investment, credit and mobility growth.
Investment Rationale
India is spending more on power grids, factories and infrastructure. More people and small businesses are borrowing. And more Indians are buying two-wheelers and vehicles. This basket invests in the companies that make the equipment, lend the money and build the vehicles behind that growth. We pick companies with strong balance sheets, healthy cash flows and good order visibility, and we avoid businesses that depend on heavy debt or a single government buyer. Our model basket focuses on businesses with 12-24 month inflection catalysts that trigger sharp valuation re-ratings.
Major Investment Rationales
Capital Goods (ex-Defence)
The government has set aside a record ₹12.2 lakh crore for capital spending in FY27. India's power transmission sector is expected to invest ₹5-6 lakh crore between FY27 and FY32. We exclude Aerospace & Defence because those companies depend on one main buyer and often have long payment cycles.
NBFCs
NBFC lending grew 14.9% to ₹59.9 lakh crore in July 2026, and retail lending grew 21.4%. With the RBI raising rates in October 2026, we prefer lenders whose loans reprice quickly or are linked to floating rates.
Automobiles & Auto Components
The GST cut on two-wheelers up to 350cc (from 28% to 18%, September 2025) has made vehicles more affordable. India's auto component industry grew 12.7% to ₹7.6 lakh crore in FY26, helped by rising content per vehicle and exports.

Key risks
- Rates could rise further. The RBI expects inflation to touch 6.0% in Q3 FY27. More hikes would raise NBFC borrowing costs.
- Oil and trade remain uncertain. Brent crude was still near $115 in late October 2026. The US waiver on Russia-linked tariffs is temporary and can be reversed.
- Orders can be delayed. Capital Goods companies depend on government and utility projects moving on time, and on DISCOMs paying their bills.
- Three sectors means less diversification. If one sector falls out of favour, the basket can underperform for long periods.
